You may submit a request to:

  • Access. Request a copy of personal data MORTL holds about you
  • Correction. Request that inaccurate personal data be corrected
  • Deletion. Request that your personal data be deleted from our systems
  • Unsubscribe. Opt out of email communications from MORTL

How to Submit a Request

Email privacy@mortl.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and include:

  • Your name and email address associated with your MORTL account
  • The type of request (access, correction, deletion, unsubscribe, or question)
  • Any relevant details about the data in question

Identity Verification

To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. We will let you know if verification is required and what information we need.

Response Time

We will acknowledge your request and respond as promptly as we can. Response times may vary depending on the nature of the request. We cannot guarantee that every deletion request will result in complete removal of all data, particularly where retention is required by law or legitimate business necessity.

Your Data, Your Call

Privacy requests, answered plainly.

MORTL holds end-of-life plans, which is about as personal as data gets. You have the right to see it, fix it, or delete it. Here is how that works in practice.

What kinds of requests can I make?

Five kinds. Access: get a copy of the personal data MORTL holds about you. Correction: fix data that is wrong. Deletion: have your personal data removed from our systems. Unsubscribe: stop email from us. And plain questions about how your data is collected, stored, or used. All of them start with one email.

How do I submit a request?

Email privacy@mortl.com with the subject line 'Privacy Request'. Include your name, the email address on your MORTL account, the type of request, and any details about the data in question. You do not need a lawyer, a form, or an account in good standing to ask.

Why do you verify identity before deleting data?

Because your end-of-life plan is exactly the kind of data someone else might want to see or destroy. Before we hand over or erase anything, we confirm the request actually comes from you. We will tell you if verification is needed and exactly what we need from you.

Will deletion remove everything?

Almost everything, and we will be straight with you about the rest. Some records must be retained where the law or a legitimate business necessity requires it. When something cannot be deleted, we tell you what is retained and why instead of quietly keeping it.

Does MORTL sell my data?

No. We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or partners. The full detail of what we collect and why lives in the privacy policy, written to be read by humans.
