We review all error reports. MORTL may update, correct, add a note, or decline to change content at its discretion. We don’t guarantee a specific response time or that every submitted correction will result in a change.
If we make a material correction to published content, we’ll note the correction at the bottom of the relevant page.
Reporting Errors
The page URL, what's wrong, and what you believe is correct. A link to a source, like a statute, a court rule, or an official form, turns a good report into a fast fix. You don't need to be a lawyer to report something; you just need to be right.
Every single one. Accuracy is the entire product of a site like this, so error reports are treated as gifts, not complaints. Reports about state law get checked against the primary source before anything changes.
Provider corrections have their own path so they reach the right review queue, including verification against your official registry record and your own website.
